Event Description

Would you like to begin growing your own food, but are not sure where to begin? Perhaps gardening books make things look a bit complicated, of you could just do with some moral support from people who've done it before.

These two relaxed sessions are for beginners who need the basics to get started.

Sessions to include:
...Looking at your back yard/windowsill: Where will I grow things?
...Choosing some good crops to grow
...Planning the year: What should I be doing now?
...Seed orders
...Ordering a compost bin
...The practicalities of buying compost, sowing seeds, soil preparation and transplanting.

In two parts:
-Theory session Wednesday 18th November from 7 -9pm
-Practical session Saturday 21st November from 10 -12 am.

To be held in Blick Arts Studios, 51 Malone Road Belfast, and in the Eglantine Community Garden.

Cost of £5 per session (£10 for both). Limited places available, but it's likely we'll run more workshops in the future.

Contact eglantinecommunitygarden@googlemail.com or Miriam on 07719199624 for more details.

Thanks!
